These pages were never meant to end with my story. They were meant to remind you that yours is still being written.
The R keeps it simple for me
— rewarded and redeemed through love and forgiveness
Throughout this book, the letter R has come to represent so much of the road I have traveled—and continue to travel—as I grab my life back after preparing to die.
The R keeps it simple for me. It gives me words I can easily remember and return to as I continue becoming a Brand New Me.
That is why I think of these pages and chapters as R (Our) Journey.
It began as my journey, but I invited you to travel through these pages with me. And somewhere along the way, I hope you found yourself reflecting on your own life—what you may need to release, reframe, recover from, reconnect with, recommit to, rebound from, restore, or reimagine.
These are not steps to complete or boxes to check. They are words I continue to return to. Sometimes I am working through one. Sometimes several at once. Sometimes I find myself returning to a place I thought I had already passed.
That is part of becoming.
I invited you into these pages to experience my journey, but I hope you leave them thinking about yours.
